Michael D. James Michael D. James, 31, of Clinton, Iowa, and formerly of Sioux City, died Sunday, Oct. 25, 1992, at the University Hospital in Iowa City of complications from an altercation in Clinton.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Cathedral of the Epiphany in Sioux City with the Rev. Alfred McCoy officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Wednesday, with a vigil prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel.

Mr. James was born Aug. 14, 1961, in Sioux City and graduated from North High School in 1980. He had lived in Sioux City most of his life, moving to Clinton in 1991.

He was a member of the Cathedral of the Epiphany

Survivors include a son, Brandon Jones and a daughter, Deneshia Jones, both of Sioux City; his parents, George and Sarah James of Sioux City; a brother, George James Jr. of Des Moines; three sisters, Karen James, Debra Brown and Gloria Richardson, all of Sioux City; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Delphia Holloway of Sioux City: paternal grandmother, Julia James of Charlottesville, Va.; an uncle. Tom Holloway and other uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two grandfathers; a sister, Evelyn James; and a niece, Laterra James.
